About the Artist

EK Gerdin-Miosga is a mixed media artist currently working in film, print, painting, textiles and digital art. Her work explores thorny societal and cultural issues such as addiction and mental health through innovative and powerful visual expression. By researching the relationship between care and touch within vulnerable groups, the artist reflects how the current period is affecting an already precarious system.
EK is based in London. She is currently running her own department as an art facilitator for a Neurology Rehabilitation Home and is the co-founder of Better Together, an artist collaborative Platform launched on February 2020. She has a Fine Art Degree from the University of Hertfordshire.
